I recently returned from the big TNNA trade show in Columbus where I was introduced to a new and unusual line of knitting needles. They’re fun, and made in the USA!
Indian Lake Artisans is a Michigan-based company that uses local supplies and sustainable resources to make their unusually shaped needles. Knitters may find the hexagonal shape easier to hold than the typical round needles, helping to more easily control their needles and make nice, uniform stitches. What I love about them is that each size has a different copper top. Feathers adorn the smallest size (US #6/4mm); the owls on the size 7/4.5mm are my personal favorite.
The pair I’m giving away are size US 15/10mm. Made of birch, they are 10″ long and topped with the cutest little log cabins!
If you leave a comment, you may win these needles yourself! To win, enter a comment here on this post by midnight Eastern Time on July 29th, 2012. Please include your contact information in your comment so I can let you know if you’re the lucky winner! I’ll be conducting a random drawing, using a computer generated random number selector. (One comment per person, please, with only one comment and email address per person.)

I’m always looking for needles with unique tops and these are just the ticket! It’s also important that they are Made in the USA!
Always interested in trying new needles! These look fun…and I’m a native of Michigan (now living in Wisconsin), so love to support a Michigan business!
What fun needles! Thanks for the chance to win them.
Lovely needles! They make me think of Little House on the Prairie and I think that if I used them I would knit hats, scarves, mittens in the old fashioned Laura Ingalls kind of way.
Those are gorgeous! The little log cabins are killing me 🙂

Those needles are great! And I don’t think I have a pair of 15s!
These needles look great, I would love to add them to my stash. Hope being in the UK isn’t a problem.
Diane, I don’t think sending them to the UK would be a problem.
Always looking for something a bit different to add to my needle stash.
I think the shape of these sounds like a good idea. I’ll try them even if I don’t win. 🙂 I like your site design a lot and I’m glad I found it.
Thank you, Venessa. Nice feedback like yours makes my day!
It’s wonderful to see beautiful needles and workmanship coming from the USA!
Thank you for the chance to win! 🙂

Great needles! I love to try something different.
I would love to try these needles. I keep trying other brands and so far I have not found the best one. Maybe these will be the ones.
Would love to try them, too! Been reading about how this brand started,
they seem fab to hold and use. (like Diane I’m in the UK !)
