I’ve been a little grumpy lately. Then I came across a news item that says that August is “Admit You’re Happy Month” which seems also to be known as “Happiness Happens” month. One article even says that the month includes National Smile Week and National Friendship Week. The universe conspired to lift me out of my slump. It also reminded me that I have a fantastic book to give away, by my friend Stephannie Tallent. And that makes me smile.
So…. in celebration of Admit You’re Happy Month, I will be giving away Stephannie’s incredibly beautiful book California Revival Knits. You may remember I raved about the book in my review of it last year.
To enter to win, put on a smile and enter a comment here on this post by the end of Labor Day (midnight Pacific Time on September 2nd). Please include your contact information in your comment so I can let you know if you’re the lucky winner! I’ll be conducting a random drawing. (One comment per person, please, with only one comment and email address per person.) Happiness Happens!

What gorgeous patterns! I want to make the quatrefoil mittens NOW.
YOU put a smile on my face with this giveaway! Thoughts of California, the home of my youth, make me smile. theharts at windstream dot net
I remember your review of this and am happy happy you are now giving it away
I knit everyday, but I’m surely still a beginner/ intermediate level knitter. If you think her book might be appropriate, go ahead an throw my name in the hopper. Otherwise pass it along to other more worthy folk.
Some friends and I are starting a knitting/handwork circle. Can’t wait.
Yay, smiles and happiness all around 🙂
Love that book. Really need it for my library. Really need to do some of those projects. Thanks for the giveaway.
Having some chocolate while checking out the awesome pics, what a great way to get your smile on!
If I win, I’ll definitely be having a happy September. What’s been making me happy in August is the bounty of lovely, local, organic produce at the farmers market – melons, peppers, corn on the cob, so much yummy stuff!
I would love to win this book! The cover photo of the beautiful cowl is where I would start knitting.
Happy is conditional, my condition is I choose to be happy! I search my heart when I feel meh and I have many things to be happy about.
Giveaways make me smile! Needed a smile boost this morning.. and have been eyeing the Peacock Cowl! Thanks for the chance! jayellesea on Rav
Giveaways are a great reason to smile! My DH surprised me at lunchtime with a lovely skein of laceweight from the LYS today, so I’ve been smiling to myself all afternoon.
Thank you for the giveaway! The patterns are very beautiful and your friend is so talented! 😉
Hope the universe brings you much joy!

Over this long, holiday weekend I’ll have the opportunity to spend time with my son who moved away almost a year ago. I’m proud of him – but it’s good to see him, too!
